With all these horror remakes, I'm surprised that we haven't seen a remake of the original Friday the 13th or the original Halloween.

I sure hope they don't do it, there's no way they could recreate the atmosphere of these classic movies!

I know what you mean. Sometimes the simplicity is the best part of the movie, you can't replace it with a bunch of CGI and fast camera movements. Although, they have their place, it's not in a classic horror film! At least not for me...

If i were to see Ft13th or Halloween, or even that Frienkenstien film, I would send hate letters. Grrr....

I agree, this is a void. Why are we stuck picking between shitty sequels or awful remakes? At least with remeakes the story is intact but seqels are pulled out of pop-cultre's ass! I'm also sick of these gay ghost movie like the ring, the grudge, and darkness. deliver us some fucking blood! and don't give us some shitty "seed of chucky" bullshit. comedy and horror doesn't mix! i also just recentley heard that "halloween 9' is in preduction. WHY! Loomis and Lourie are dead. honestly, it ended when she chopped his head off. if they ever make a jason v.s micheal, i'll fucking kill myself!

If people do not watch it, they will not make it. . . well , let me rephrase that, if people do not pay to watch it, they will not make it!

And that's the real kicker, we pay then we watch these movies hoping for the best only to be really let down. In the case of sequels almost always a letdown! Remakes are sometimes worth it but not very often. And like I've said, I really keep my hopes high for prequels, but I am almost always let down ( and not so gently either!).

I've found I really like some of the independent horror films and the lesser known stuff. I just watched May and should be putting up my review of it tonight. If you want to see some blood, this is your kinda movie! Watch it and let me know what you think!

Thanks for the welcoming, I finally activated my membership. I thank who ever made this website. Remaking Friday the 13th would be horrible no matter how they do it. Who will play Mrs. Voorhees? Even if it's not official yet, it's possible. They remade Chainsaw, The Fog, Psycho, and thirteen ghost. The only remake I've ever liked was dawn of the dead. But with Friday the 13th, theres two main option. They will either change the mood of it and make it more scary or make it a lame excuse for blood to spill and make money. I love blood, but not without the scare.
