Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? This is certainly the stuff slumber parties and the like are made for! It is so interesting to see what happens when you have a room full of freaked out kids and you introduce somethng like Bloody Mary or Candyman. I really think there is a certain point in life where we all go through this fascination with ghosts and death and dying.
I am still apparently going through this period as I am fascinated by all of it still. Fascinated, curious and a little bit scared if I am being honest . . . milliefs |

Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? My sister and I were dying to try out Candyman and Bloody Mary. We were told to spin around three times and say Candyman slowly three times and he would scratch your face. So we did and all of a sudden there was a burning sensation; almost as if someone were running their burning finger nails along my right cheek. Later that night I could faintly see the scratch marks on my cheek. It was thrilling though terrifying.

Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? Interesting . . . and maybe things happen when you do want them to as well. Maybe in your mind you wanted to have something happen when you did Bloody Mary and so you subconciously cut yourself ??? Or maybe it was just a coincidence . . . or maybe something more? Who knows really.

Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? I dont know which is scarrier. The possibility of a knife wielding supernatural being who can be summoned at will, or the concept that the human mind can be subjugated so easily that it would cut itself.
I've seen some pretty creppy things. I've taken over people so fully that they've realized afterwards that there was nothing that they could do to resist my commands, but it involved me being at point blank range, and almost in a trance myself. To be able to do it with just a few words **shivers** |

Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? "you're scaring me"
That was definitly the point... this is "fearscene" after all, no?Its fun reading about legends like the Candy man, fun to talk about movies. It was just a gentle reminder that there's a lot in the world that we don't see every day... a lot of it is far more terrifying than any thriller movie writer could think of. Not necisarially because the ideas are more scary, but because they're real. You can't walk out of life when it scares you like you can walk out of a movie theater. Well, you can, but the police hate suicide investigations, they're simply depressing. I've personally never done candyman. I would love to believe that its a hoax, but after the things I've seen, I'm not willing to take that chance. You're in the dark, allready fighting your own mirror image, you've invited him in, both into your house and into your mind... I suppose you could make it easier on him by getting drunk or stoned (so you can't fight with your mind) and tying yourself up (so you can't fight with your body). -C **grins, feeling his job is done, and moves on to troll other forums. All he came on to do was see what the exact ritual for candyman was, anyways.** |

Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? Definitely agreed that sometimes (most times actually) life is stranger than fiction . . .
. . . but you can still hide under the covers in real life just like you can for the movies (both literally and figuratively) . . . although that probably won't quite solve the problem most times in real life. . . unless of course, the problem is that you are cold . . .

Re: Candyman in the mirror - has anyone actually done it? I have not tried Candyman, but i have tried BloodyMary. I did it alone in my bathroom in the dark and my mind was going nuts, it kept on making me feel like somone was there, your mind can play alot of tricks on you sometimes!
