Another Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Origin Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Origin will be a prequel to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake (and I guess the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre). It takes place 3 years before the original.
Right away, I see 1 really good thing and 2 possibly bad things about this movie: Good: R. Lee Ermey will return as the crazy sheriff he played in the remake and it seems he will have alot more screen time. Bad: 1. Jonathan Liebesman of Darkness Falls fame will be the director - Darkness Falls was definitely NOT one of my favorite recent horror movies. 2. This will be another Michael Bay production -- hopefully it won't have the same erratic style like the other recent Michael Bay horror movies -- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and The Amityville Horror remake. Check out UpcomingHorrorMovies for more information. |

Re: Another Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Origin Oh, sounds wonderful. I did love the remake, just alot more longer and more action-packed than the origional.
Darkness Falls? Isnt that with the evil tooth farie? That one movie gave me a big laugh thinking about it. P.S. How do I get an avatar? |

Re: Another Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Origin Hi Blackheart,
We will be getting instructions about avatars and a list of stock avatars on the site soon! As for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, it left me feeling . . . I don't know, empty or something. And I hope the Origin of the Massacre doesn't give me the same feeling I had after watching The Exorcist: The Beginning. As you can see from my review , I was not happy with it! |

Re: Another Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Origin The problem with origins is try to piggyback on the success of what came before instead of trying to tell a good story

Re: Another Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Origin Very true indeed. But I think I am the "eternal optimist" or somehting b/c I keep hoping that the explaination of a great story will be . . . well - a great story. It is not usually the case. Matter of fact, nothing jumps right to mind as a grand prequel. Hmmmm. . . can anyone think of one?
