Stephen King Remakes
I've been wondering about Stephen King Remakes.
I've seen remakes of: Carrie & The Shining, and I know they did one of Salems Lot (heard it Sucked (little vampire humour there)). I've heard, rumours of remakes, in the piepline, of Pet Sematary, Children of The Corn, and IT.

Anyone know of any that I've missed?

The Shining had a remake which wasn't bad, just no Jack Nicholson tho :( Here's Johnny,, with that crazy face ,, never forget him... Pet Sematary had that sequel which wasn't bad, a remake of Children of the Corn,, they had quite a few of those movies," IT "would be quite an undertaking,, pardon the pun,, it was pretty classic... I'd like to see the remake of Stephen King's "Sleep walkers" love that movie,, based on a short story of the Kings.

There are rumours of George Cloony being cast as Doc Creed in the Pet Sematary remake.

Stephen King's IT is one film that definately doesn't need remaking. Message to Hollywood: no clowning with IT please!

I've seen Sleeepwalkers a few times. Read the short story too.

Best horror movie George was in IMO was Dusk till Dawn,, I guess he'd be a good choice for Doc, he's a good actor in a Batmanish type way :) You are fortunate to have read Sleepwalkers,, I have never been able to find it, I'd like to dwelve into that catpeople legend a bit more.

Dusk 'Till Dawn - hell of a film. Never seen any of the sequels though.

Can't remember which one of King's books has Sleepwalkers in it. Just checked on Wilkepedia and it says it is based on an unpublished novel. Sure I read a short story version though. Will have to wade through all my piles of books and see if I really do have it somewhere. If I do I will let you know which book it is in.

Re: Stephen King Remakes
The two sequels from "Dusk Till Dawn" were "Texas Blood Money" and "The Hangman's Daughter" I would recommend The Hangman's Daughter over Texas Blood Money" just because it goes into the history behind "Dusk till Dawn" with some good moments. The other movie was way different and I really didn't see any connection to the other two, basically a B type movie also. Both of the sequels don't come close to being as good a movie as "Dusk till Dawn."

Thanks I'd appreciate it,, and I did just see "Desperation" by Stephen King. I have read the book also, not bad at all. Books do give us so much more insight tho,, it's all in the mind,, lol

Dusk 'till Dawn would take some topping. Bet Cloony wasn't in any of the sequels, and the rest of the cast, bar one, got totalled.

Read Desperation not too long ago. Loved it. Never seen the film. Hope to get around to it soon.

I agree, it was great. Hollywood seem to have a thing about remakes at the moment.

The first time I saw Pet Semetary, the ill sitster (Zelda?) really freaked me out.
