I really liked it, but I had never seen the original, and i am a Nicolas Cage fan. But really like that movie, everyone i know thinks it was the worst movie ever, i am i the only person that found something good in it?

What exactly did you find good in it?

I myself, was not a big fan - well not even a little fan really as you can see from my review.

Yes, it is going to kill me! I have calculated the time, and two seconds is a hazard to my f*@#ing health.

I thought it created a really good atmosphere, and since i had not seen the orginal i was on the edge of my seat the whole time, trying to figure it out. I guess i was not expecting any kind of twist in it. I thought N.C. did a good job leading the audience ( or maybe just me) into the story. but i do sometimes seem to have a bit off center taste, maybe they made that movie just for me.

and while we are on the topic of my messed up taste, did any one else like the movie, The Woods.

I've not seen The Woods but I am a big Lucky McKee fan so I bet I'd like that one . . . Did you see his Masters of Horror episode last year titled Sick Girl?

As for The Wicker Man, I have yet to see the original but I still can't stomach the remake. I've heard the original is much, much better.

Much, much, much, much, much, much, better. It rules. And it's got songs. And it's got Britt Ekland. And it's got Christopher Lee. And it's got Edward Woodward. And then there are all of those people in the spooky masks (yes they had masks in the remake. No they weren't as good).

I am a fan of Cage, but the remake sucked big time. Not only did it not have Britt Ekland, Christopher Lee or Edward Woodward, but it didn't have the cool Scottish accents or any of the naked people getting down and jiggy with it in the graveyard.

I can see how naked people getting jiggy in the graveyard can make a movie better, I will have to put the original on my to watch list.
as for the masters of Horror, I do not have showtime, but if they ever put out a complete collection in the U.S. i will have to check it out.
and i mentioned THE WOODS because you said something in your review about the remake looking good as for as nice scenes, and THE WOODS is like that very beautifully shot.

I will have to check The Woods out for sure then.

The Masters of Horror is a great series. I still have to see Imprint from last year and I missed this year all together b/c I don't have Showtime anymore.

. . . it also means I missed Dexter starring Michael C. Hall from Six Feet Under fame. That just downright bums me out . . .
