Re: Horror Movie Suggestions Depends on what you are in the mood for . . .
If you are in the mood for a serial killer type movie - The Devil's Rejects was really good. Some old time cheesy horror - Don't be Afraid of the Dark - which you may or may not be able to rent. If you are in the mood for revenge/exploitation type films - Last House on the Left or I Spit on Your Grave (Day of the Woman) were very, very good. If you are in a more demonic /possesion type of mood - The Exorcist or The Entity were both pretty good. Of course you can't go wrong with some good old standards like the Halloween or Friday the 13th series, maybe even the first few Nightmare on Elm Streets too. So many good films . . . let us know what you are in the mood for and we can surely be more specific!

Re: Horror Movie Suggestions I really liked Don't Look Now, a British horror from the 70's. A real slow burn, but with a huge payoff. I saw it in the theater in a re-issue so maybe the big screen had a lot to do with it. And the fact that I love classic Donald Sutherland.

Re: Horror Movie Suggestions It really is all just a matter of taste and different people like different things.
The original Halloween is a great choice. If you prefer something with a bit more gore try Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. Stephen King's IT is great. If you like ghost stories and prefer the old classics, the original The Haunting (1963) takes some beating. Ghost Story (1981), starring Fred Astaire, is, in my opinion, a must see. Huanted (1995), starring Kate Beckinsale, is also very good. Hope that gives you some ideas.
