I haven't seen it yet (but I am definitely going to make sure I see it in the theaters) but from the commercials The Dark Knight almost looks like more of a Horror movie to me than a superhero movie.

Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker looks particularly disturbing and the whole movie looks extremely dark.

Has anybody who's seen it think this is the case?

I haven't seen it yet - tried to but the theatre was all sold out, so it is good at least, if not a horror! - but it defiintely looks darker and more on the edge of horror than the 1st Batman with Jack Nicholson playing the Joker.

I cannot wait to see it!
