When a Stranger Calls This movie looks kinda good. I know in the past I saw the original but I can't remember all that much about it. Other than the fact that "He's calling from inside of the house!!!!" of course.
And who could forget the sequel When a Stranger Calls Back with Carol Kane and the brilliant "hidden psychopath"? Looking forward to seeing the original and the sequel again and also the remake. Here's to hoping I'm not disappointed . . . milliefs |

Re: When a Stranger Calls I just re-watched the original When a Stranger Calls and I have to say it is oodles better than the 2006 re-make. It is much more geared around the psychopath which was really rather interesting. You got to see a little glimpse into what made him tick and how his actions affected the family, the babysitter and the detective who worked the case.
Also, different from the 2006 re-make is what happens to the children. Their fate is much darker than that of the re-make. I am trying to choose my words carefully in order not to give too much away in case someone who reads this is going to see the 2006 remake. Both versions were really pretty good but I definitely left the re-make wanting more of a story and the original possibly wanting less of a story if that makes any sense. Anybody else seen both? Any comments? milliefs |
