Haneke's Remake of his own film?!?!?! Haneke is remaking his 1997 film, Funny Games, same script and story, just in English and with Naomi Watts and Tim Roth as starring roles. Looks pretty grizzly to say the least. Did some reading, found out Haneke is trying to shock the audience into thinking about the realism of violence in today's movies and TV. But whatever aboout that, movie looks sweet.
Good idea on the remake? what does everyone think.... |

Re: Haneke's Remake of his own film?!?!?! Yes a wonderful idea...Michael Haneke is repositioning this movie in a great context. He portarys violence as realisitc as it can be. Many horror movies drag along and finally reach death or ending. Their are many straight to the point action seens from what the trailor reveals. Action can happen at the spur of the moment and without any expectation, and thats the message Michael Haneke is trying to send in the film "Funny Games"!
