My take on the zombie genre edit: is the html code not working? When I preview it the images and links look fine, but when I view the actual post, I see the code and it's all jumbled.
I love zombie movies and I love how different one can be from the next. One aspect of zombie lore that I've always enjoyed in their origin. Quoting the original Dawn of the Dead tagline "when there's no room left in hell, the dead will walk the earth." That's just a horrifying image, but unfortunately no film has ever shown us hell and shown souls being turned away. That's the movie I want to make.<br /><br />And I'm trying to get it made. I've been working on a script for a few years now and I've actually entered it into a contest sponsored by the HORRORFEST film festival. If my pitch receives the most votes, they will actually produce it. I don't have to tell you that would be a dream come true.<br /><br />If you'd like to check out my pitch and accompanying video, you can visit <a href="http://www.massify.com/pitches/hellwardbound" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.massify.com/pitches/hellwardbound" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.massify.com/pitches/hellwardbound" target="_blank">http://www.massify.com/pitches/hellwardbound</a></a></a><br /><br />If you like my ideas, I urge you to vote for my pitch. But if it's not your thing, it won't hurt my feelings if you pass. Thanks for reading. <br /><br /><img src="http://blackhole.massify.com/i/previews/8d/03/e3/s_posterbig/asset_69eefe9d4713ea0415b7a8271777ae90_2064.jpg" alt="" /> |

Re: My take on the zombie genre Actually there is an issue when you preview and then post. We are working on trying to fix that. try posting and NOT previewing first. Sorry for the invconvenience!
This sounds like a very interesting concept. I for one, will definitely check out your pitch. Good luck to you!

Re: My take on the zombie genre Ah - it does work and it is quite a good pitch. Check it out FearSceners and let Paul know what you think!
I like the idea that your "zombies" are really exaggerated versions of themselves as they were on earth. The one question I have is if as you stated the exaggerated axe murderer chops his own head off but is able to then pick it up and put it back on - how are these walking dead ever truly gotten rid of . . . how does Browton restore it's order??? I would totally watch this film and love the idea of the dead being piled high and pushed around hell by a plow of some sort . . . interestingly macabre vision! I imagine the ones on the bottom of the pile would look considerably worse for wear! I, myself, am a huge fan of horror comedies - this seems like it would have a fair amount of the cheesines I love in the horror comedy genre. Good luck Paul!
