I know about Candy-Man and Bloody Mary. I have never done either, probably because part of me thinks its a bunch of crap and the other half is too scared to find out!
What I really think happens, is this....

The age when most kids hear about, try or think about trying the Candy Man or Bloody Mary is usually from childhood through teenage years. During this time, you are still a child and have quite an imagination whether you admit to it or not. Like, Milliefs said, these events almost always take place at Slumber Parties, and when girls--or guys get together, there is always drama good or bad.
I think that kids either make-up, or tell themselves that they actually saw Bloody Mary or Candy Man....I think their want for it to be scary-fun-real, can make them see things that aren't there, or wish they seen something.

I also don't know if this would work, if I tried it, because I think you have to be open to it, in order for you to really see a ghost. Kind of like possession...they say you have to somehow invite a demon in....but if you're not even thinking something is real....more than likely, you aren't opening any door for Candy or Mary.

actually i tryed it and nothing happened at first until i looked into it again and said for the sixth time and and man appeared his face was full of bugs and blood with a burnt in scare until i couldnt look anymore i quickly turned around and saw him reaching his hand out i turned on the light and opened the door but...the door was locked and the light turned off so i scream my loudest and my dad opened the door and said that i was in a black out still screaming

Yikes, did they figure out how they got cut?

Did they think it was really Bloody Mary or that they somehow cut themselves trying to get out of the room?

my brother has done it he got cut in the eye and my cosins friend did it her friend came out with a bloody leg

All the hairs on the back of the neck stand on end too, right!

I am not even doing it now and I feel goosebumps just thinking about it!
