Re: Cannibal Movie The last time I've seen some cannibal movies called "Emannuelle and the Last Cannibals", "Cannibal Ferox", and "Eaten Alive".
BUT, the one and only favorite movie is Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre!

Re: Cannibal Movie I just saw Dead Men Walking..it was VICIOUS!! A guy got arrested for murder. He was killing cannibals and he got infected. While in prison he begins to change and infects everyone in the prison. NO ONE ESCAPED! The sole survivor was mistaken as a cannibal and was gunned down by snipers. Even children visiting their father were victim. ABSOLUTE GORE!!! Guts, intestines, body dismemberment, brains blowed out, heads blown off..BLOOD SPLASHING. It was nasty..I liked it...it reminded me of a Cannibal Corpse song.

Re: Cannibal Movie Wow! Dead Men Walking sounds like a serious Cannibal movie.
I will definitely have to check it out. Of course my all time favorite Cannibal movie has got to be Silence of the Lambs. For that matter, any of the Hannibal movies -- Hannibal has got to be the best Cannibal ever put to film.  |

Re: Cannibal Movie Hopkins is great as Hannibal. Can you think of anyone that could play a better Lecter? I can't.
Just read the first 3 book by the way. Also very good. The third book, Hannibal, is quite different from the film towards the end. It surprised me. Here's an interesting thing for you: in the books Hannibal had 6 fingers on one of his hands.

Was there a special reason for this in the books? Now I'm definitely going to have to read the books -- Which one should I start with? |

Re: Cannibal Movie There was no special reason for the six fingers. Hannibal was just born that way. There is a name for the condition, it mentions it in the book, but I can't remember it off the top of my head. In the book Hannibal also has very unusual eyes.
It is hard to avoid attention when you have six fingers so there does come a point where hannibal has one of them removed. He also performs surgery on his own face. They really are very good and The Silence of the Lambs has one of the best closing paragraphs I have ever read. It only works though if you have read the full story. I wrote a review about it, which can be found HERE and make some of the same points there.
