Constantine
I'm not sure if this topic has been posted before and I'd be surprised if it never was.

I've always been fascinated with demonic movies. The Exorcist has always been my favorite. Then the Hellraiser movies came out in which I'm a secret fan of Pinhead. 13 Ghosts was very, very nice. Then comes "Constantine". Some may say its quite cheesy with all the effects. However, I really like how detailed the demons looked, the images of Hell and the thoughts of "Satanic Bibles"(do they exist?). I really appreciated this movie because it goes deep in the "unexplainable", which all horror movies do anyway. Constantine has become my favorite. In the Exorcist is was the fear of being possessed by the devil. The Hellraiser's the fear of being tortured in Hell. 13 Ghost was the fear of certain demonic spirits. Contantine brings back the fear of tortured souls in Hell.

Re: Constantine
First off, I would like to say great avatar!! The exploding head is just too divine.

Second off, I have to apologize that I haven't even seen Constantine yet. After seeing what you've written though my interests have once again been piqued. I have to confess that a friend of mine told me not even to bother seeing it, so I have been putting it off I guess.

. . . but I am a big fan of the "unexplainable" . . .

Re: Constantine
I just watched Constantine last night. I have to say, I wasn't all that impressed with the story. It was okay and it did delve into some of the unexplainable and all, but even saying that it didn't explain alot for me.

I agree that I actually liked the effects and the look of the demons and angels. I especially thought it neat when the soldier demon was trapped in the mirror during the exorcism - or deportation, whatever you choose to call it.

All in all though, just eh for me.

Yes, it is going to kill me! I have calculated the time, and two seconds is a hazard to my f*@#ing health.

Re: Constantine
Yeah this movie was cool as far as the visuals but the plot was really not that great. And as you pointed out the soilder demon trapped in the mirror was really cool. I thought the storyline needed some improvement and if they do a 2nd movie they need the same people doing the effects.

Re: Constantine
There was a huge special effects team on this movie. I just checked it out on IMDB.

IMDB

They did an awesome job for sure!

Not sure if there is any buzz about a sequel for this one, but they would absoloutely need to do something about the storyline or at least how they put it together for the movie.

Re: Constantine
I thought Constantine was pretty creepy, not very scary, but it was eery, I actually thought it was hard to follow the storyline a little bit though.

Re: Constantine
. . . you gotta admit though, some of the demon effects were kinda scary - especially the demon made of bugs. But that could just be me b/c I am extremely phobic of bugs and arachnids in general . . .

Re: Constantine
I have not seen the movie "Constantine", didn't really seem to impress me. I'm not big on turning a comic book into a movie. Most of them don't imprees me. And YES!!! Your avatar is great! Did you see the movie "Scanners" from which your avatar came from. A neat movie.

Re: Constantine
I liked the whole idea of Constantine , a unlikely but very apt hero laying his life on the line saving humans and doing his penance so to speak. The effects were good, gave us some thrills and the devil, well,, spooky..........
