Apparently Ancient Egyptians believed 13 to be a lucky number though. They believed that there were 12 steps up the ladder to eternal life and knowledge (gives me a whole new perspective to all those 12 step programs) and that if you took the 13th step it meant transcending death and into everlasting life . . .

Guess it is all how you look at things?
