I recently watched the American version of The Ring. I saw the original Japanese version ages ago. I don't get scared easily, but the original Ring did give me a few goosebumps - heck, my goosebumps even got goosebumps. And that's a lot of goosebumps. To make matters worse we used to have a TV near the bottom of the bed; it took a little while to get to sleep that night, I can tell you.

Anyway Mrs Zombie didn't like the Japanese one - she doesn't like subtitles - and she eventually talked me into watching the version that doesn't need them. I watched it, but I didn't find nearly as scary. If any of you guys have seen both, what do you reckon, was the original Japanese version the best, or do you prefer the other one?
