Re: Candyman is Real Yeah that guy does look a bit like the actor that played Candyman, but I don't see any similarities between his actions and those of the Candyman. Where's the hook, the bees and the resurection?
The original idea for Candyman came from one of Barkers short stories. I have read it, it is in one of the Books of Blood. It's pretty good. Writers draw their inspiration from all sort of sources: history, folk lore, news item... you name it. I'm not saying that Candyman isn't based on this guy, just that I don't the connection myself
