Another great episode with another great plot twist . . . and all in 3-D!
This special 3-D episode of Medium titled Still Life has our favorite psychic detective searching for the missing body in a bloody and gruesome killing of a present day Hispanic girl. Her search however, leads her to an art gallery where she unveils the work of the artist, Jason Morrow (Kevin Alejandro) only to find that it is none other than the girl they are looking for.
Of course, this leads them to believe that Jason is somehow involved in the murder so they take him in for questioning. It seems though that Jason’s father, David Morrow (John Shea) is a close friend of the mayor and is very, very rich. After he threatens the D.A, with a lawsuit, Allison and Det. Scanlon work even more feverishly to find the site depicted in one of paintings which is a large tree covered in shoes. When Scanlon finds the tree they dig around and of course, come up with a body. However it is an older body and it is buried with a child.
All kinds of questions arise from this discovery and Allison’s visions become more and more detailed and gruesome. In the end the twist of the plot just goes to show what lengths some will go to in order to have money. Greed kills my friends, greed kills.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of Medium. It is amazing to me how sucked in I get while watching. Throughout this episode we also see a lot of Joe’s father who is giving advice to Allison about a new business venture open for Joe. It seems he did not want Joe to travel the same path he did in life, which was never having time for his family. And although Allison was angry with him for influencing their decision, I can’t help but think she may have also been a little relieved when she joins her family who is all together on the weekend having a grand old barbeque.
The 3-D part I could’ve done without and in reality I did do without it because I didn’t get a pair of the special glasses to enjoy the effect. But even without the 3-D effect, it was an excellent episode. Can’t wait till this week’s episode!
