The biggest horror within The Horror Within is that it was even made in the first place . . .

You know, sometimes it just amazes me that these movies are even ever released. Don't the people involved in making these films ever watch them and go "Oh no, I can't subject anyone to watching this big stinking dung heap"? Well, if they don't, they should!

I try to really see the bright side in any horror film because while the story or acting or setting or special effects or whatever may not be that good in a film, there is usually always something positive I can take away from it. In this case there was nothing - not one thing. Well, there were gratuitous boob shots, but that doesn't do a whole heck of a lot for me.

I can only say that I want that 81 minutes of my life back.

Basically this was a story (and I use this term loosely here) about a student, Travis (Jesse Blitz), who is filming the last bit of his student film which was a horror film about a Weremonkey. He decides to take his rich friend up on his offer to use his vacation home to shoot the last scene and to use his equipment.

This turns out to be a big mistake as they find out later that the vacation home has been vacant for years due to the fact that one of it's winter tenants seemed to have a penchant for murdering the local townswomen. Soon we learn that the supposed missing caretaker of the home isn't missing at all but has become a vampire and plans to suck the blood out of them all. And I guess I could say that it all went downhill from there, but that would be a lie because it would have to have an uphill to come down from. This film had no such hill - it was equally bad throughout.

My advice: Let The Horror Within stay within and watch something else instead!
