I loved the allusions to Carrie in this one . . .
The dream sequence with Ariel (Sofia Vassilieva) being crowned queen of the dance and doused by the bucket of pig’s blood was particularly entertaining. Good stuff I tell you, good stuff!
Ariel and Allison (Patricia Arquette) must work together as both are getting different perspectives of the same gruesome crime after an early morning visit to a local bridal shop leaves them the discoverers of a grisly mother/daughter murder scene.
There is a whole back story of Ariel’s dance at school and the boy she likes Wyatt (Asher Book) asking her to go aforementioned dance. Ariel has a premonition about going to the dance in this certain dress which is available at a certain dress shop. A shop where mother and daughter team Patty (Jordan Baker) and Claire Chase (Jennifer Lawrence) have met their untimely end at the hands of a brutal killer.
The whole time Allison and Ariel are thinking the murderer is one person but it turns out to be a very different person all together. I truly felt for Ariel who is struggling with her abilities probably much like her own mother struggled when she first found them. Although I thought Ariel was a little hard on Mom, it must be difficult to know that this is just the beginning of seeing and hearing some pretty awful things if Mom is any indication.
Another great episode with awesome character development. It is episodes like this that keep me watching week after week.
