Loved the flying duck scene . . .

I would have to say that if I was a spirit in a house I probably would throw a stuffed duck at the annoying best friend Arnold (Trevor Roberts) and then I probably would have giggled about it too . . .

Having said that, Sightings: Heartland Ghost was an okay haunted house flick. Not quite creepy enough for me - I think a big part of that was the fact that they kept doing these shots from the spirit's point of view in different colors to kind of represent the different ghosts. Kinda cheesy if you ask me and not in that good cheesy kind of way either.

I also did not find the main character in the film, Jeff (Gabriel Olds) all that believable. There was something about his performance that just rubbed me the wrong way. I did enjoy the characters of Allen (Miguel Ferrer), Derek (Beau Bridges) and Lou (Nia Long - who just kept reminding me of a local newscaster Keisha Grant) who were part of the Sightings team that were investigating the supposed haunted house. I also thought Pam (Thea Gill) did a fairly good job portraying a freaked out stay at home mom with a husband being violated by a succubus.

As is the case with most movies about haunting or possession, a lot of this film was dramatized for effect. But according to articles I have read on the web about the Heartland Ghost, the Sightings team did capture some sort of attack on the husband. However the back story of the actual ghosts does not seem to hold water. Take a look at the following link about Sallie - The Heartland Ghost

At any rate, Sightings: Heartland Ghost wasn't a bad little made for television film. Especially if you are a fan of hauntings or of the old TV show Sightings. Me - I always love a good ghost story (even just an okay ghost story) . . .
