The second episode of True Blood entitled The First Taste . . .
. . . offers a glimpse into the fact that you really do not want to piss a vampire off.
Sookie (Anna Paquin) finds herself in a boatload of trouble at the end of the 1st episode of True Blood when the Rattrays (James Parks and Karina Logue) come to pay her back for her little vampire saving escapade the night before. Unfortunately for the Rattrays, Bill (Stephen Moyer) was coming to meet Sookie after work.
Apparently when you piss off a vampire it is much like pissing off Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz . . . a house (or in this case a trailer) might just fall on your head - doesn’t sound comfortable at all if you ask me.
As all of this is going on, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) learns that he did not in fact kill Maudette (Danielle Sapia) in the last episode (thank goodness for that – I would have missed his redneck hottie type character). We also get the sense that he is not the only one in town that does not think he is all that bright - although, Tara (Rutina Wesley) does seem to think that her best friend’s brother is that cute.
But again, at the end of this episode, Sookie finds herself in a bit of a quandary as she is surrounded by a group of unsavory looking vampires. They certainly don’t seem as pleasant and neighborly as Bill Compton. The scenes from next week really left me feeling quite scared for Sookie but if I am being honest so did last week’s scenes for this week so I guess we will have to wait till next week to see.
Another really great episode of this new and interesting vampire series . . . can’t wait to see more!
