Here is the question I have after watching this so-so horror movie - why, oh why do they sometimes come back . . . again?
Sometimes They Come Back was fairly good. I wish I could say the same about
Sometimes They Come Back . . . Again. Unfortunately, just the opposite can be said. The overacting by Tony Reno (Alexis Arquette), Jon Porter (Michael Gross) Maria (Jennifer Aspen) and Father Archer (William Morgan Sheppard) was laughable. The whole premise of the story was ridiculous and had nothing really to do with the first film. Other than the fact that the kids came back, I guess. And you can't even say that because they weren't kids anymore, they were some sort of demons.
The only saving grace was the performance by Hilary Swank who played Michelle Porter and proved that not even a bad script and consistent overacting by her colleagues can diminish the fact that she is a wonderful actress. I mean when you can give a great performance under the best of conditions you are a good actor, but when you can give a great performance under horrible conditions . . . well that's just plain talent. Well, and I did like Grandma's pet pig. He was kinda cute.
Reading my first few paragraphs over I realize that I really did not enjoy this film. It made me a little angry actually because I really enjoyed the first film. I suppose we cannot have everything, but at least you get this warning:
Definitely NOT worth it - do NOT waste your time! Consider yourself warned.
