You of all people should've seen that coming . . .

. . . what a great line and it was used twice in an equally great episode.

(Medium has quickly become one of my all-time favorite shows. So I have decided to share my thoughts on each episode with you. I’ll start with last week’s episode and will work my way backward (and forward) as time goes on.)

Last week’s episode was entitled “Dead Aim”. In it Allison Dubois is working with District Attorney Devalos on the case of a star basketball player who is accused of killing a young girl and trying to make it look like an accident.

Allison keeps having this dream that someone comes to the D.A.’s office and shoots her co-worker and her boss. The dream is so realistic that Allison actually gets herself into some trouble because she pulls the fire alarm to try and save some lives. Turns out there was no killer coming off the elevator, but Allison still feels strongly that someone is trying to hurt the D.A.

During the trial the defendant’s attorney has a psychic of his own who is designated by the cooky scarf she wears wrapped around her head. So this is an episode with dueling psychics, or is it? As the defense team seems to be getting more and more correct information from their psychic, Allison continues to have the dream. Turns out that this is another one of those dreams that is a metaphor for what is really happening. By the end of the episode Allison has figured out her dream and saved the day again for the D.A.’s office.

A funny little side story is going with the family during this episode. Bridget has to go to work with her father one day and while she is sitting on the floor coloring a picture and Dad is busy in a meeting, she ends up drawing what his boss really thinks they are designing their chip for -apparently it is a bomb. This disturbs Joe to core but Allison comforts him by saying that he has never designed anything to hurt anyone in his entire life. She apparently already knew. So we are beginning to see that all of the children so far have a touch of the gift. It will be interesting to see what, if any portion of the gift the baby possess.

Tomorrow night there will be three episodes of Medium airing. Looks like they are all repeats so if you haven’t caught them already now would be a perfect time to catch up!
