With Allison thinking she may be pregnant, we are led to wonder if her visions have real meaning or they are actually caused by hormones running rampant . . .
Allison has a dream of a golem, devil and just plain bad man who claims to have taken her oldest daughter Ariel. The next day she realizes that she is a week late with her period and Joe is extremely ecstatic (perhaps a boy to even the score a little in the house full of women?). That same morning she meets up with a good Samaritan who is in the process of helping District Attorney Devalos nail a burglary case. As she touches him she gets sick and of course this is all attributed back to her possibly being pregnant by Devalos and Joe.
She goes a little off the deep end when she sees the good Samaritan with a rolled up rug which she recognizes from her visions. It is the very same rug he has used to carry his victims out to the desert. She actually ends up ramming her car into his to get the police to check his trunk. No surprise, there is nothing in it but the rolled up rug. It is however, much newer and cleaner than she remembers from her visions. And her visions were very surreal and set in comic book fashion.
Come to find out, Mr. Good Samaritan has not yet murdered or disposed of anyone. He will not perform these heinous acts for perhaps another 7-10 years. Allison does try to warn who she thinks will be his first victim and also has some stern words for the Samaritan himself. Hopefully her forewarning will be enough.
At the end of it all we find out that Allison is not in fact pregnant. It is a bittersweet realization for both her and Joe. They also come to the conclusion that Ariel is her Mother’s daughter as she demonstrates her psychic ability trying to impress her Father with her math abilities when in reality, Joe was just helping her to “see” the answers.
An interesting episode and kinda freaky with the golem himself crying out for Mommy in one of Allison’s dreams. That still gives me chills just thinking about it!
